Silver recovered by the South Sea Company (SSC) in 1722 was shipped back to Britain, and a series of coins were struck by the Royal Mint. Denominations include a crown, half crown, shilling and sixpence.
The crown is made of sterling silver (0.925 fine), and shows signs of historic polishing. All of the main details are still present, with no damage to the rim.
