Description
The set contains a 2002 gold proof five pounds, two pounds, sovereign and half sovereign. All of the coins have been slabbed and graded by NGC as PR70. The 2002 4 coin gold proof sovereign set features a shield design on the reverse of the coins, to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (Designed by Timothy Noad). The Queens fourth portrait can be seen on the obverses of the coins (Designed by Ian Rank-Broadley). Each coin is made of 22 carat gold. The 2002 4 coin gold proof sovereign set was originally issued with a box and certificate, and had a maximum mintage of 3,000.Summary
