Description
The 2017 Gold Proof Two Pounds depicts Benedetto Pistrucci's famous portrayal of St George and the dragon on the reverse of the coin, the original design used on the 1817 sovereign, to commemorate the 200th anniversary. Queen Elizabeth II's fifty portrait can be seen on the obverse, designed by Jody Clark. The coin has been graded by PCGS as PR69.
